Fresh Government Vacancies Open in the Federal Fire Service

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially announced new vacancies for qualified Nigerians seeking mid-management career opportunities within the Federal Fire Service. The announcement, released on 25th November 2025, invites eligible government employees to apply for various strategic roles aimed at strengthening fire safety administration across the country.

These newly advertised vacancies cover five key positions ranging from Deputy Controller of Fire to Deputy Superintendent of Fire, making it one of the most significant internal recruitment opportunities within the nation’s fire regulatory system this year. According to CDCFIB, the recruitment exercise is part of ongoing reforms to boost operational command and enhance professional competence within the Federal Fire Service.

Available Positions Under the CDCFIB Vacancies 2025

The Board listed the following roles under the current vacancies:

  • Deputy Controller of Fire (CONPASS 14)
  • Assistant Controller of Fire (CONPASS 13)
  • Chief Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 12)
  • Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 11)
  • Deputy Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 10)

CDCFIB emphasized that applicants must apply for only one of the available vacancies, as multiple submissions will lead to automatic disqualification.

Eligibility Requirements for the Federal Fire Service Vacancies

To qualify for these vacancies, applicants must be serving employees of Federal, State, or Local Government MDAs. Additional mandatory requirements include:

  • Minimum height of 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females

  • A letter of identification from Local Government of Origin
  • Evidence of confirmed appointment
  • Three years’ APER/PMS documents
  • Certified True Copy of Record of Service
  • Clean criminal and financial status
  • Medical fitness certificate from a government-approved hospital

The Board further clarified that personnel of other paramilitary services are not eligible to apply for these jobs.

How to Apply for the CDCFIB Vacancies

Interested applicants are required to submit all application documents in PDF format via the official CDCFIB email: info@cdcfib.gov.ng. All submissions must be completed within one week of publication, and no later than 15th December 2025.

Importantly, the Board stressed that the entire application process for these jobs is completely free, warning applicants to avoid fraudulent agents or unofficial channels.

Conclusion

With these newly opened vacancies, the CDCFIB is offering qualified government personnel a major pathway to advance their careers within the Federal Fire Service. As the December 15 deadline draws closer, interested applicants are encouraged to prepare their documents promptly and follow the official application procedure carefully.
