In a decisive move to address security concerns related to the upcoming nationwide protest, Bwari Area Council convened an emergency security meeting today. The meeting, chaired by the Commandant of NISS Bwari, brought together key figures from various security agencies and community stakeholders.
Key Decisions:
- Ban on Protest Participation:
The council has officially declared that Bwari Area Council will not partake in the nationwide protest. All stakeholders are directed to ensure strict adherence to this decision. The Inspector-General of Police has warned that anyone or any group participating in the protest will face arrest and prosecution. - Enhanced Security Measures: Authorities have placed phone numbers on high alert to track any suspicious activities.
And residents are advised to be vigilant about their movements and avoid unnecessary travel. As unnecessary movement at odd hours will be prohibited.

Youth leaders have been tasked with disseminating information and guiding their peers to avoid involvement in protests and to stay vigilant against potential security threats including criminals, hoodlums, kidnappers, and bandits.
Parents are urged to caution their children against being used by malicious individuals for any illicit activities.
Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to the authorities to ensure community safety.

Hon. John Gabaya, Chairman of Bwari Area Council, assured that the directives will be communicated to all community members.
Comrade JH Awoyi, the Youth President of Bwari Area Council, and other stakeholders pledged their support to ensure compliance with the security measures.
The meeting concluded with a call to action, emphasizing that compliance with these directives is crucial for maintaining public safety. The adage “A stitch in time saves nine” was highlighted to stress the importance of proactive measures in preventing potential issues.
