Receives royal blessing, traditional title as supporters and top APC stakeholders rally behind Niger East bid
Barrister Bello Bawa Bwari has officially declared his intention to contest for the Senate seat representing the Niger East Senatorial District at the APC Party Office in New Bwari Ward, Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
The declaration marks the beginning of what supporters describe as a people-driven movement, as Barr. Bwari prepares for his official Local Government declaration in the coming days. His decision to join the race follows sustained calls from residents of Suleja Emirate and across Niger East, urging him to provide purposeful and inclusive leadership for the zone.

The ward-level event witnessed a massive turnout, with supporters trooping out in large numbers to demonstrate solidarity and confidence in his candidacy. The gathering included political stakeholders, party loyalists, youth groups, and women from Tafa, as well as neighboring Suleja and Gurara Local Government Areas.
Among the dignitaries present were the Chairman of Tafa Local Government Area, Hon. Danladi T. Iyah; Niger State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Obed Nuhu Nana; Niger State APC Assistant Auditor, Hon. Zulkiflu Shuaibu; Tafa LGA APC Party Chairman, Hon. Isyaku Sallau; and the Director-General of NSEB, Hon. Yakubu Muhammad Katamba. Councillors, supervisory councillors, and other key political stakeholders were also in attendance.

In a significant highlight of the day, Barr. Bwari paid a visit to the Royal Father of New Bwari, HRH Isaac Yaro, where he sought royal blessings ahead of his political journey. During the visit, the monarch conferred on him the traditional title of Sardaunan Sabon Bwari, in recognition of his leadership qualities—likened to those of the late Sir Ahmadu Bello—and his contributions to grassroots development.
