The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) has opened its 2026 recruitment portal, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for various positions within the agency.

Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service Salary Structure
The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service operates two Federal Government salary structures depending on an officer’s cadre and professional qualification.
Veterinary Doctors and other eligible medical professionals are paid under the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS), while administrative, inspectorate, and assistant officers are remunerated under the Consolidated Research and Allied Institutions Salary Structure (CONRAISS).
Actual earnings are determined by several factors, including grade level, step level, years of service, promotions, and any salary adjustments approved by the Federal Government.
NAQS Recruitment 2026 Requirements
Applicants seeking employment with the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service must satisfy the following conditions:
- Be a Nigerian by birth.
- Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Be medically fit for service.
- Present a medical fitness certificate issued by a government hospital.
- Successfully pass a drug screening test.
- Have no criminal record.
- Not belong to any secret cult.
- Be financially responsible.
- Possess basic computer knowledge.
- Meet the minimum height requirement of 1.65 metres for males and 1.55 metres for females.
- Male applicants must have a minimum chest measurement of 0.87 metres.
Applicants with serious physical disabilities or medical conditions are not eligible for the recruitment exercise. Pregnant women are also advised not to participate due to the physical nature of the screening process.
