Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda leads APC condolence visit as Nasir El-Rufai mourns late mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, at his residence in Abuja.
The visit was to commiserate with the former governor over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who died on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt, after a period of illness.
Yilwatda expressed heartfelt sympathy on behalf of the APC leadership and members nationwide, describing the loss as a painful one not only for the El-Rufai family but also for the political community.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and encouraged the family to remain strong and comforted during this difficult period.


El-Rufai appreciated the visit and the solidarity shown by the APC leadership, noting that such support provides strength in moments of grief.
The visit underscores the spirit of unity and mutual support within the ruling party, especially in times of personal loss.
