The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially presented an operational license to Leadership University, Kuje, authorizing the commencement of full academic activities.
The license presentation ceremony took place on Friday and was graced by several dignitaries, including the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar; the Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Yahaya Musa Muhammed Arada; the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Abdullahi Muhammed Evuti; and the Ordinary President of Human Rights Radio Abuja, Ahmed Isah.

According to reports, Leadership University will begin operations with 15 accredited courses spread across five faculties. The institution aims to provide quality education rooted in leadership, innovation, and community development.
In his remarks, Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar expressed gratitude to the NUC for its confidence in the university and the approval of its operational license.
He assured the commission that the institution would uphold high academic standards, credibility, and excellence in its programs and management.




With this approval, Leadership University proudly becomes the first indigenous university in Abuja South, marking a historic milestone in the FCT’s educational advancement.
