The leadership of the Bwari Youth Development Association today paid a significant courtesy visit to the newly appointed Mandate Secretary for Youth Development Secretariat, Hon. Abdullahi Suleiman Ango. Known for his eloquence, simplicity, and proactive approach, Hon. Ango warmly welcomed the association’s delegation.
The visit was aimed at establishing a closer working relationship and exploring potential avenues to promote youth development within Bwari Area Council and across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Discussions centered around strategies to enhance the growth and empowerment of youths, particularly in areas of skill acquisition and entrepreneurship.
Hon. Ango, visibly pleased with the association’s outreach, outlined the key responsibilities of the Youth Development Secretariat and elaborated on the steps already being taken to uplift and support young people in the region. He shared his ongoing efforts to create opportunities for youth empowerment, emphasizing the need for practical engagement to ensure sustainable development.
In a key part of his address, Hon. Ango encouraged the association to motivate youths to embrace entrepreneurship and self-reliance. He stressed the importance of registering their businesses with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), noting that such formal registration is essential for them to benefit from potential government grants, support schemes, and other interventions aimed at fostering business growth.
The youth association spokesperson Theophilus Noah Baba reiterated their commitment in supporting the mandate secretary for the progress of FCT youths.
