Traditional ruler pledges strong mobilisation for President’s second-term bid, hails FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ leadership
The Agaba of Jiwa Chiefdom, a traditional ruler in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Alhaji Idris Musa, has donated ₦1 million to support the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Renewed Hope Ambassadors — a political support group campaigning for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The monarch made the contribution on Wednesday when the group, led by its Coordinator, Hon. Adamu Abdullahi, visited his palace in Jiwa.
Alhaji Idris Musa expressed deep appreciation to President Tinubu for what he described as exemplary leadership and inclusive governance, particularly his appointment of Barrister Nyesom Wike as Minister of the FCT.
He also commended the President for recognising Abdullahi’s capacity and appointing him to coordinate the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in the FCT, describing him as “a son of the soil” whose efforts reflect the aspirations of Abuja residents.
The traditional ruler pledged total support for Tinubu’s reelection bid, vowing to lead mobilisation efforts both within and beyond the FCT. He noted that the people of Abuja must show appreciation to the President for what he called a “brotherly and laudable gesture,” reflected in key political appointments and strengthened relationships with traditional institutions.
In his remarks, Abdullahi praised President Tinubu’s administration for its deliberate and inclusive approach to governance, especially its development focus and ongoing infrastructure transformation in the FCT.
He highlighted efforts aimed at positioning Abuja as a true national capital driven by unity, progress, and shared growth, stressing that traditional institutions remain critical partners in fostering community stability and development.

Abdullahi also sought the monarch’s approval to engage tribal chiefs and community leaders within Jiwa Chiefdom to further promote peace and mobilise grassroots support for the Renewed Hope agenda.
He emphasised that peaceful coexistence remains the foundation for Abuja’s long-term development and called for stronger collaboration between government, traditional rulers, and residents.
The visit marks a growing wave of traditional and community engagement in the run-up to President Tinubu’s reelection campaign across the nation’s capital.
