Gbari Nation Confers Lamwa Title on Ezekiel Dalhatu | Abuja Affairs
The Gbari Nation in the Federal Capital Territory has formally conferred the traditional title of Lamwa (Spokesperson) on Comrade Ezekiel Dalhatu, in recognition of his contributions to the promotion, liberation, and cultural advancement of the Gbari people.
The conferment was confirmed in an official letter issued by the FCT Council of Chiefs, under the authority of His Royal Highness, Luka Ayedoo Nizassan III, the Etsu Kwali, and Chairman of the Council of Chiefs, Kwali Area Council, FCT.
According to the letter dated January 27, 2026, the title was bestowed on Comrade Dalhatu in acknowledgement of his exceptional leadership, dedication, and consistent advocacy for the dignity and development of the Gbari Nation.
The traditional institution noted that the honour recognises Dalhatu’s sustained efforts toward the liberation of his people, and the advancement of their culture, and the strengthening of collective commitments to the development of the tribe.
The official turbaning ceremony for the Lamwa title has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Kwali Area Council, Abuja.

The Lamwa title is regarded as a significant traditional role within the tribe, serving as a key voice and representative of the people in cultural, social, and developmental engagements within the Federal Capital Territory.
