Sarkin Yakin Kudun Jiwa and Sardaunan Rubochi announces exit from People’s Democratic Party, says next political direction will be revealed soon
Hon. Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa has officially announced his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), citing the prolonged leadership crisis within the party as the major reason for his decision.
In a public statement addressed to residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the political figure said the decision to leave the party was taken without mixed feelings, noting that the internal crisis affecting the PDP had made it difficult for him to continue his political journey within the party.
According to him, over time he has maintained close communication and engagement with supporters and residents across the FCT, sharing ideas and aspirations aimed at improving their collective future.
“Over time, we have communicated and engaged with one another as it should be. We have listened, shared ideas, and even walked together in pursuit of a better future,” he said.
Hon. Musa explained that coming from similar circumstances with many of his supporters, they had always remained hopeful that their challenges would ease and their lives would continue under better conditions.
He stated that the leadership crisis currently bedeviling the People’s Democratic Party left him with no other option but to take a step forward by formally resigning his membership from the party.
The former PDP member also used the opportunity to appreciate the party for the opportunities and experiences he gained during his time as a member.
“This public notification of my resignation is my warmest appreciation to the PDP for the times and opportunity we shared together,” he added.
Hon. Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa further disclosed that he would soon announce his next political direction, assuring his supporters that they would continue to work together as they have always done.

He expressed confidence that with unity and determination, his supporters and associates would continue to rise politically and contribute to the development of their communities.
Hon. Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa holds the traditional titles of Sarkin Yakin Kudun Jiwa, Sardaunan Rubochi, and McGidaGida.
