Militants Overrun Military Position in Adamawa, Ignite Firefight, Destroy Equipment
Suspected fighters of the (ISWAP) have reportedly attacked a Nigerian Army camp in , killing two soldiers and destroying military assets in a swift and coordinated assault.
According to initial reports, the insurgents stormed the military position and engaged troops in a fierce gun battle that lasted several minutes before overpowering the camp. During the exchange, two soldiers were confirmed dead, while others were said to have sustained injuries.
Sources indicate that the attackers set parts of the camp ablaze, burning at least three military vehicles and damaging structures within the facility. There are also claims that weapons and ammunition may have been carted away before the assailants retreated from the area.
