ZLP Chairmanship Candidate Solomon Danjuma Garda Congratulates Bwari Chairman-Elect Joshua Ishaku After FCT Area Council Elections Calls for Inclusive Governance
The Chairmanship Candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the 2026 FCT Area Councils election, Hon. Solomon Danjuma Garda, popularly known as MC Dariya, has congratulated the Chairman-Elect of Bwari Area Council, Hon. Joshua Ishaku, following the conclusion of the council polls.
Hon. Garda, who contested the Bwari Area Council chairmanship seat, led the ten ZLP Councillorship candidates, party state officials, local government and ward executives, alongside members of the Dariya Support Network, Dariya Caucus and other supporters on a congratulatory visit to the Chairman-Elect.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Garda emphasized the need for politics without bitterness, noting that although he did not emerge victorious in the election, he remains committed to the unity and development of Bwari Area Council.
“I didn’t win today, but I shall win next time. Politics should be without bitterness,” he stated.
He prayed for the success of Hon. Joshua Ishaku in office and expressed hope that the incoming administration would deliver good governance to the people of Bwari.
Hon. Garda also appreciated the Chairman-Elect for pledging to run an inclusive government and urged him to fulfill his promise of uniting the people of the council.
“We sincerely pray that you succeed. Thank you for pledging to run an inclusive government, and we pray that you fulfill your promise of uniting Bwari Area Council and carrying everybody along,” he said.
The ZLP candidate further congratulated Hon. Ishaku on his emergence as Chairman-Elect and wished him a successful tenure in office.
The visit, according to supporters, reflects a spirit of sportsmanship and democratic maturity following the 2026 FCT Area Councils elections.
