The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has launched several free, high-impact training programmes targeted at empowering young Nigerians with industry-ready skills for jobs in the oil and gas sector, digital technology, marine/offshore engineering, welding, ICT, and more.
The ongoing programmes are part of the Board’s Human Capital Development initiative designed to equip thousands of youths with the practical skills, certifications, and on-the-job experience needed to thrive in today’s competitive energy and technology industries.
Available NCDMB Training Opportunities (2025)
Oil & Gas Field Readiness Training – For OND, HND, BSc holders in engineering and science disciplines.
Digitalization & Emerging Technologies Training – Covers AI, Data, Robotics, Cybersecurity, Cloud, VR/AR, IoT, and more.
Marine & Offshore Technology Training – Includes industrial welding, automation, instrumentation, ship design, piping, power systems, and engineering software.
NCDMB–ITF Vocational Skills Training – Practical hands-on training in mechatronics, automation, process control, building technology, etc.
NLNG Train 7 Human Capital Development Programme – Advanced training plus opportunities for OJT and possible employment.
Who Can Apply?
Nigerian youths, mostly 18–35 years old
Graduates with OND/HND/BSc depending on the programme
Applicants must register on the NOGIC-JQS portal
No training fees required — many programmes include stipends, PPE, insurance, and certifications.
