Retaliatory Iranian missile attacks disrupt UAE airports, cause casualties, and ground international flights as regional conflict escalates.

The United Arab Emirates is reeling after a series of Iranian missile and drone strikes targeted Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to 11 others. The attacks come amid escalating Middle East tensions following recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian strategic sites.

At Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport, debris from intercepted drones caused a fatality and injured seven individuals nearby. Meanwhile, Dubai International Airport reported minor damage to a concourse, leaving four workers injured.

The strikes prompted immediate flight suspensions and cancellations across the UAE and neighboring countries, stranding thousands of travelers. Major carriers, including Emirates and Etihad, temporarily halted operations as safety measures were enforced.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation, urging residents and travelers to follow official guidance. Analysts warn the attacks could mark a dangerous escalation in the ongoing Iran–US–Israel conflict, with potential implications for civilian infrastructure and regional security.

Travelers to the UAE are advised to check flight status regularly and exercise caution amid the evolving situation.
