Seyi Tinubu Installed As Okanlomo Of Yorubaland
Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been installed as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland in recognition of his contributions to youth development, leadership, and service to the Yoruba socio-cultural heritage.
The traditional title was conferred during a colourful ceremony attended by leading royal fathers, political figures, cultural groups, and youth organisations.
Speaking at the event, the monarchs described Seyi Tinubu as a bridge between tradition and modern leadership, noting that the honour reflects his growing national profile and his impact within the Yoruba community.
Seyi expressed gratitude for the recognition, pledging to use the title to promote unity, cultural excellence, and progressive values across Yorubaland.
The installation has since generated wide celebration and reactions, especially among youth leaders and political supporters who view the title as a major endorsement of the younger Tinubu’s influence in the region.

The event adds to the expanding list of traditional honours conferred on Seyi Tinubu in recent years, signalling his rising visibility in national socio-political affairs.
