FCT Minister Nyesom Wike announces plans to develop roads and basic amenities in the Waru-Pozema District to attract residents and real estate developers in Abuja.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike has pledged a major infrastructure boost for the newly created Waru-Pozema District as part of efforts to accelerate development and attract residents as well as private investors.
Wike disclosed that the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is committed to providing essential infrastructure in the district, including access roads, drainage systems, and other basic amenities that will make the area attractive for both residential and commercial development.
According to the minister, the development of Waru-Pozema District forms part of the broader plan to expand the city and reduce pressure on the central districts of . He noted that proper infrastructure remains a key factor in encouraging developers to invest and for residents to consider relocating to new districts.
Wike emphasized that the FCTA will ensure that the district is properly planned and supported with modern infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing population. He added that government intervention at the early stage of development will help stimulate rapid urban growth in the area.
The minister further reiterated the administration’s commitment to continuing infrastructure development across the FCT to support economic activities and improve the quality of life for residents.
