Suspect reportedly fled after victim was rushed to hospital in Dei-Dei area of the FCT
A 27-year-old woman has reportedly collapsed and died at her boyfriend’s residence in the Dei-Dei area of Abuja under circumstances that are yet to be fully explained.
Reports indicate that the woman left her family home to run an errand but later went to visit her boyfriend. She was said to have suddenly taken ill while at his house and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The boyfriend, who reportedly accompanied her to the hospital, allegedly fled shortly after her death was confirmed and has since remained unreachable. His disappearance has raised suspicion, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
The FCT Police Command has commenced efforts to locate the suspect, while the deceased’s body has been deposited for examination to determine the exact cause of death. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
