Fresh abduction raises fear as insecurity deepens in Kaduna State despite ongoing rescue efforts
Suspected bandits have kidnapped four persons in a Kaduna community, just days after the mass abduction of worshippers from churches in the state, further worsening the security situation and heightening fear among residents.
The latest attack reportedly took place in a rural area, where armed men invaded the community and abducted the victims, taking them to an unknown location. As of the time of reporting, details about the identities of those kidnapped and the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
This fresh abduction comes amid outrage and anxiety following the recent mass kidnapping of church worshippers in Kajuru Local Government Area, where gunmen stormed churches during Sunday services and abducted a large number of worshippers. While some victims were said to have escaped, many others are still being held captive.
Residents say persistent attacks by bandits have forced many locals to flee their homes and abandon farmlands, disrupting livelihoods and daily activities. Community leaders have continued to call on the Kaduna State Government and security agencies to urgently step up operations to rescue abducted persons and prevent further attacks.
The continued incidents have raised serious concerns over the safety of rural communities in Kaduna State, despite assurances from authorities that security efforts are ongoing.
