Former candidate calls for unity, respect for judiciary, and peaceful support for APC in Bwari poll.
Hon. Audi Shekwolo, former chairmanship candidate in the Bwari Area Council, has called on his supporters and residents to remain peaceful and united as the FCT Area Council elections approach.
In a heartfelt message shared with his supporters, Shekwolo reflected on what he described as a long and challenging political journey, including a court battle that tested his resolve and that of his followers. Despite the legal setback, he affirmed his respect for the judiciary’s decision, stressing that democracy must always be upheld.
“We’ve come a long way together, and the journey hasn’t been easy. But we’ve remained steadfast, peaceful, and committed to democracy,” he said.
As Bwari prepares for Saturday’s chairmanship election, the former candidate urged residents to vote peacefully and responsibly, throwing his support behind the All Progressives Congress (APC). He emphasized that democracy thrives when citizens actively participate in the electoral process while maintaining unity and party discipline.
Shekwolo also called on his supporters to put the party and the Bwari community first, reinforcing the importance of solidarity ahead of the polls.
The Bwari Area Council election remains one of the closely watched contests in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with political alignments and endorsements shaping the final stretch of the campaign.
