HRH Dr. Ibrahim Yaro, JP, Chairman of Bwari Traditional Council, meets the Defence Minister after earlier serving as guest of honour at his book launch
The Honourable Minister of Defence, , recently received the Paramount Ruler of Bwari Chiefdom and Chairman of the Bwari Traditional Council, His Royal Highness (Dr.) Ibrahim Yaro JP, during a courtesy visit.
The meeting highlighted the cordial relationship between Nigeria’s defence leadership and traditional institutions within the Federal Capital Territory.
Earlier in February 2025, the royal father had been invited as the Guest of Honour at a book launch hosted by the General Christopher Musa titled “The Military Iconic Leader of Our Time,” a publication celebrating leadership, service, and the impact of military figures in Nigeria.
Following the subsequent appointment of General Musa as Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, His Royal Highness was again invited for a meet-and-greet engagement with the minister.


During the visit, the ESU of Bwari was presented with a special recognition award by the Defence Minister. The plaque read:
“Presented to HRH (Dr.) Ibrahim Yaro JP, ESU Bwari, by General C.G. Musa, OFR, Chief of Defence Staff.”
The honour recognised the traditional ruler’s leadership role and his contributions to peace, community development, and traditional governance in Bwari Chiefdom.
The engagement further indicated the importance of collaboration between government institutions and traditional authorities in promoting security, unity, and development across communities in the Federal Capital Territory and beyond.
