APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, says proposed collaboration with the Accord Party structure in Osun State could help deliver 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that a proposed collaboration with the Accord Party in Osun State could significantly boost President Bola Tinubu’s support ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, disclosed this during a visit to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, where he spoke about the possibility of political cooperation ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to Basiru, the APC and Accord Party structures could work together to mobilise voters and target approximately 1.5 million votes for President Tinubu in Osun State.
Basiru, who is from Osun State, reportedly described the proposed collaboration as an opportunity to build broader political support for the President ahead of the 2027 poll.
The APC National Secretary also called for cooperation among political stakeholders in the state, stressing the importance of unity and strategic mobilisation ahead of the election.
The development comes amid increasing political realignments and consultations across Nigeria as political parties and their supporters begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
While the 1.5 million figure represents a political target projected by Basiru, its actual achievement would depend on voter mobilisation, party structures, alliances and the outcome of the election.
The proposed APC-Accord collaboration in Osun is therefore expected to generate further political discussions as parties and political actors intensify preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
