The ancient town of Rubochi came alive early today as dignitaries, traditional rulers, community leaders, and well-wishers gathered to witness the conferment of the prestigious chieftaincy title of Santurakin Rubochi on Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa, a respected statesman and former Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission, FCT.

The coronation ceremony, presided over by His Royal Highness, the Sa’Rubochi, was held amidst pomp and pageantry at the Rubochi palace grounds. The event attracted a large crowd, including political leaders, members of the business community, and traditional title holders from across the Federal Capital Territory and neighboring states.
Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa, who also holds the title of Sarkin Yakin Kudun Jiwa, was recognized for his unwavering dedication to public service, community development, and his role as a bridge-builder among diverse groups.
Speaking during the event, His Royal Highness Sa’Rubochi described the conferment as a well-deserved honor, citing Mr. Musa’s integrity, leadership, and numerous contributions to both Rubochi and the wider society.
“The title of Santurakin Rubochi is reserved for individuals whose lives embody selfless service, unity, and progress. We are proud to bestow this title upon Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa in recognition of his remarkable legacy,” the royal father stated.




In his acceptance speech, the newly installed Santurakin Rubochi expressed gratitude to the traditional council and the people of Rubochi for the honor bestowed upon him.
“I am deeply humbled by this recognition. I pledge to continue working towards the growth and prosperity of Rubochi and to uphold the values and responsibilities that come with this revered title,” Mr. Musa said.
Highlights of the colorful event included traditional dances, drumming, and cultural displays, reflecting the rich heritage of the Rubochi people. The ceremony was followed by a reception that provided an opportunity for guests to celebrate with the new titleholder.
