Court adjourns case to November 9 as alleged certificate forgery matter involving FCTA official continues
A senior official of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reportedly failed to appear for arraignment over allegations involving forged University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificates.
According to a report by Sahara Reporters, the official is facing criminal proceedings over allegations that questionable academic and NYSC credentials were presented in connection with her employment in the FCT Administration.
The matter was expected to proceed with the defendant’s arraignment, but the proceedings did not take place as scheduled. The court subsequently fixed November 9, 2026, for the next hearing.
The case reportedly followed investigations into the authenticity of certificates attributed to UNIPORT and the NYSC.
The allegations have attracted attention because of the official’s position within the FCTA and the implications of alleged certificate falsification in public service.
However, the allegations remain subject to judicial determination, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a competent court.
The November 9 hearing is expected to determine the next stage of proceedings in the matter.
