Tragedy has once again struck Plateau State as Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, the General Overseer of Kingdom Gospel Mission International, raised fresh concerns over the recurring attacks on Christian communities, lamenting that he is “tired of burying church members every day.”

According to a report by Daily Post, the cleric had earlier warned of a planned attack by suspected Fulani Islamist militia, but his alert was dismissed by the military as false. Less than 24 hours later, the attack occurred — leaving 13 innocent villagers dead, including men, women, and children.

Full List of Victims:

  1. Solomon Dung Choji – 43 yrs
  2. Sunday Gyang Choji – 29 yrs
  3. Davou Mallam Chollom – 24 yrs
  4. Kefas Dung Sambo – 29 yrs
  5. Chollom Danjuma Chollom – 37 yrs
  6. Christina Davou Chollom – 27 yrs
  7. Marvelous Chollom – 8 yrs
  8. Japheth Solomon – 14 yrs
  9. Ntyang Chollom Danjuma – 6 yrs
  10. Mary Monday – 10 yrs
  11. Mancha Monday – 12 yrs
  12. Solomon Chung – 40 yrs
  13. Musa Dung Bot – 32 yrs

Speaking with reporters, Rev. Dachomo lamented the failure of authorities to act on credible intelligence, saying that security responses often come “after the blood has already been spilled.”

“We are crying every day. I am tired of burying my members — the people God gave me to shepherd are being slaughtered helplessly. This is no longer an attack; it’s a campaign of elimination,” he said.

The cleric and local residents are now calling for urgent government intervention, demanding accountability from both state and federal authorities for what they describe as “a pattern of ignored warnings and delayed action.”

🕊️ A Cry for Justice

Community leaders, human rights advocates, and religious organizations have joined in condemning the killings, urging the government to strengthen security presence in Plateau’s rural areas.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has yet to issue a fresh statement following the incident, though earlier it had dismissed Rev. Dachomo’s alert as “unverified.”

As families mourn the victims, Nigerians continue to call for peace, equity, and justice across the Middle Belt.
