Team Aduda Hope Foundation defeated Team AMAC in a thrilling final at the Area 3 Artificial Turf, Garki, as the Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda Unity Cup concluded with a strong message of youth empowerment and grassroots unity.
The Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda Unity Cup has officially concluded in Abuja, with Team Aduda Hope Foundation emerging champions after defeating Team AMAC in an exciting final played at the Area 3 Artificial Turf Football Field, Garki.
The tournament, sponsored by the Aduda Hope Foundation (AHF), brought together teams from the six area councils in a competition that combined football, youth engagement and community interaction.
At the end of the tournament, Team Aduda Hope Foundation secured the championship trophy, while Team AMAC finished as runners-up. Team Aduda completed the top three in third place after winning Team Bwari in a 3rd place play.
The final attracted football enthusiasts and supporters who gathered to witness the concluding fixture and celebrate the participating teams.
Beyond the competition on the pitch, the tournament highlighted the role of grassroots sporting activities in creating opportunities for young people, fostering interaction and promoting unity across communities in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Convener of Aduda Hope Foundation Philip Aduda Jnr in his remark said the initiative reflects the foundation commitment to youth development, empowerment and strengthening grassroots engagement across the FCT.
The executive chairman of Kuje Area Council Hon. Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo and the chairman of Bwari Area council ably represented by the Chief of staff Hon John Tukura Daniel said the competition was a remarkable one and football will always unite both the young and the old, they applauded the teams for their effort and also commended Distinguished Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda for sponsoring such initiatives.
The successful conclusion of the tournament further reinforces the importance of sports as a platform for bringing young people together and encouraging positive community participation.
The event ended with a message centred on unity and collective progress: One FCT, One People, One Vision.
