The All Progressives Congress (APC) FCT State Executive Council on Monday, May 12, 2026, officially received former Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, CON, as he intensifies consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Senator Aduda, who is seeking the APC ticket for the FCT Senatorial seat, arrived at the party meeting alongside a high-powered delegation of political stakeholders and party loyalists from across the territory.

Among those in attendance were the Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zaka Maikalangu; former AMAC Chairman and former Mandate Secretary for Transportation, FCTA, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido, who currently serves as the FCT Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors; former Chairman of Bwari Area Council and Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission, Hon. Musa Diko Bwari; Senator Isah Maina; as well as Chairmen-elect of Kuje and Gwagwalada Area Councils.

The meeting with the APC FCT State Executive Council is part of ongoing political consultations and mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.

Following the engagement with party executives, Senator Aduda proceeded to the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) for further consultations with party stakeholders and supporters.

Sources close to the campaign disclosed that the former lawmaker is set to continue his consultations across the remaining area councils in the Federal Capital Territory as part of a strategic grassroots tour aimed at strengthening party unity and consolidating support ahead of the APC senatorial primaries.
