The Katsina State Government says the intervention is aimed at ensuring smooth participation of intending pilgrims in the 2026 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.
The Katsina State Government has approved a ₦3.8 billion loan facility to secure 3,890 Hajj slots for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
The approval was reportedly aimed at ensuring early reservation and smooth participation of pilgrims from the state in the annual Islamic pilgrimage, which remains one of the most significant religious obligations for Muslims who are financially and physically capable.
Officials explained that the intervention would help prospective pilgrims meet critical deadlines and logistical requirements set by Saudi authorities, while also easing the financial burden associated with the pilgrimage process.
