The Legal Practitioners and Privileges Committee (LPPC) has announced the selection of 98 candidates for consideration for the prestigious Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) title this year. Among them, 87 are practicing lawyers and advocates, while 11 hail from academic backgrounds.
Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and Secretary of the LPPC, Hajo Sarki Bello, issued a statement inviting public feedback on the applicants’ integrity, reputation, and competence.
Notable applicants include Dr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani, former Chairman of the NBA Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL), and Prof. Adeyemi Oke from the academic sphere.
This selection process underscores the esteemed status of the SAN title within Nigeria’s legal community.
