Senate Confirms 21 Federal Commissioners for RMAFC, Urges Dedication to National Service

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed all 21 nominees for federal commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) as proposed by President Bola Tinubu. This followed the presentation of a report by the joint Committee on National Planning, Economic Affairs, and Finance.

The confirmed nominees include:

  • Mrs. Linda Oti (Abia)
  • Mr. Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom)
  • Mr. Enefe Ekene (Anambra)
  • Prof. Steve Ugah (Benue)
  • Mr. Eyo Whiley (Cross River)
  • Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta)
  • Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi)
  • Mr. Victor Eboigbe (Edo)
  • Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti)
  • Ozo Obodougo (Enugu)
  • Mr. Mohammed Usman (Gombe)
  • Alhaji Kabir Mashi (Katsina)
  • Adamu Fanda (Kano)
  • Prof. Olusegun Wright (Lagos)
  • Aliyu Al-makura Abdulkadir (Nasarawa)
  • Bako Shetima (Niger)
  • Mr. Amosun Akintayo (Ogun)
  • Dr. Nathaniel Adojutelegan (Ondo)
  • Saad Ibrahim (Plateau)
  • Mr. Modu Juluri (Yobe)
  • Bello Garba (Zamfara)

The report indicated that the nominees met the necessary public service requirements. Senate President Godswill Akpabio encouraged the commissioners to serve as good ambassadors of their states and the country.
