FCT-born legal practitioner, Barr. Evelyn Sanasi Kaura, breaks her silence in a heartfelt Facebook post, addressing misconceptions about her personality, background, and values. She reaffirms her faith, resilience, and purpose as a proud Gbagyi woman from Rubochi, Kuje Council.
A Federal Capital Territory (FCT)–based legal practitioner, Barrister Evelyn Sanasi Kaura, has taken to her Facebook handle to share a powerful and emotional message about her background, values, and personal journey.
In the viral post, Barr. Kaura, who hails from Rubochi Development Area, Kuje Council, FCT-Abuja, and is Gbagyi by tribe, introduced herself to the public to correct misconceptions about her personality and silence over time.
“My name is Barr. Evelyn Sanasi Kaura, daughter of the late Mr. Shekwonya Haruna Kaura and Mrs. Serah H. Kaura. I am from Rubochi Development Area in Kuje Council, FCT Abuja, Gbagyi by tribe,” she began.
She explained that her decision to speak out was driven by repeated misinterpretations of her calm demeanor, which many had mistaken for pride or weakness.
“Over a period of time, my silence has been misconstrued as pride or foolishness. If you knew me as a child, you’d know that respect and modesty are my trademarks. But when it comes to being assertive, I was born with a mind of my own,” she wrote.
Barr. Kaura emphasized that she has always owned her story and scars, guided by faith in God and a strong personal identity.
“I fear no man, only God. Before you throw shades or speak from ignorance, get your facts right. I work hard and smart because I have two beautiful boys whose future I am determined to secure — not because I wish to rob anyone of their penny,” she added.
The Abuja-based lawyer also underscored that human success is ultimately determined by divine grace, not human manipulation.
“It is God who elevates, using humans as tools. But no one’s destiny belongs to you because you cannot create the air they breathe,” she declared.
She ended her post with a confident statement that resonated widely among her followers:
“You see this one, just leave her alone. Whatever you do, wherever you go, she is graced, blessed by her parents, and loved by many. She rises.”
Her post has since drawn admiration and support from friends, colleagues, and community members across social media who praised her courage and authenticity.
