Grassroots Mobilisation as ZLP Unveils Chairmanship and Councillorship Candidates Ahead of Bwari Area Council Elections
The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has announced a Mega Rally and official flag-off of its Chairmanship and Councillorship campaigns in Bwari Area Council, Abuja, scheduled for Friday, January 17, 2026.
According to a statement from the party, the rally will take place at Kubwa Central Market Park by 8:00am, and is open to party members, supporters, youths, community leaders, and residents of Bwari Area Council.
The event will formally unveil Hon. Dr. Solomon Danjuma Garda (MC Dariya) as the Zenith Labour Party Chairmanship candidate, alongside Chief Comrade Justus Nnamdi Ani (Ojele Igbo of Bwari), the party’s Vice Chairmanship candidate.
The rally is expected to attract top party leaders, including the ZLP National Chairman, High Chief Barrister Dan Nwayanwu, who will attend as Special Guest of Honour. The ZLP State Chairman, Hon. Sani Rufa, will serve as Chief Host, while Comrade David Onuja, Chairman of Bwari Local Government, will host the event.
Party leaders described the rally as a crucial step in mobilising grassroots support and presenting ZLP’s development agenda for Bwari Area Council ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
Residents are encouraged to attend en masse to show support for the Zenith Labour Party and its candidates.
