A tragic incident occurred at the Hong Kong International Airport as an Emirates SkyCargo aircraft skidded off the runway shortly after taking off from Dubai, claiming the lives of two airport employees on the ground.
According to reports, emergency services responded swiftly, but the two victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
In a statement, Emirates Airline expressed deep sadness over the loss, extending condolences to the families and colleagues of the deceased.
“We are deeply saddened by this incident and stand in solidarity with the affected families and the Hong Kong aviation community,” the airline said.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by aviation authorities.
