The Kuje Area Council Chairman has pledged to pay the students’ JAMB and WAEC fees and support their admission into tertiary institutions following their impressive third-place finish at a continental competition in South Africa.
The Executive Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, has pledged educational and financial support to students of the Department of Mass Agency, Kuje, following their outstanding performance at the African Energy Competition in South Africa.
The students, who represented Nigeria at the continental competition involving more than 10,000 schools across Africa, secured an impressive third-place finish, bringing recognition to their school, Kuje Area Council and the country.
During a reception in their honour, the school principal commended Shekwolo for his open-door policy, which provided the students with an opportunity to meet with the council chairman and share their achievement.

The principal also expressed appreciation for the chairman’s continued support for educational activities across the council.
In his remarks, Shekwolo congratulated the students on their achievement, describing their performance as a source of pride and a testament to the potential of young people when given opportunities to learn, innovate and compete.

He assured the students of his administration’s commitment to creating opportunities for them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired through their participation in the competition.
As part of his support, the chairman pledged to pay their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and West African Examinations Council (WAEC) examination fees, provide additional financial assistance and facilitate their admission into tertiary institutions.
The gesture highlights the importance of investing in education, encouraging academic excellence and supporting young Nigerians who demonstrate exceptional talent on national and international platforms.

The students’ achievement further underscores the potential of young people in Kuje Area Council to contribute to innovation and sustainable development when provided with the necessary support and opportunities.
