The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced a new partnership with the European Union (EU) aimed at boosting job creation and economic empowerment across the country.
Speaking during the official launch of the collaboration in Abuja, the Minister of Labour and Employment emphasized that the initiative will focus on skills development, youth entrepreneurship, and support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
According to the minister, the partnership aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes tackling unemployment and fostering inclusive economic growth.
The European Union delegation expressed commitment to supporting Nigeria’s workforce development through capacity-building programs, digital skills training, and investment in innovation hubs across key sectors of the economy.
The initiative is expected to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs, particularly for young Nigerians and women, while strengthening Nigeria-EU economic relations.
