Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has called on the newly appointed Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Mohammed Abdulrahman, to prioritize unity and justice within the party as he assumes leadership.
Fayose, in a statement issued on Saturday, congratulated Abdulrahman on his emergence and urged him to heal internal divisions, address long-standing grievances, and restore confidence among party members nationwide.
According to Fayose, the success of the acting chairman’s tenure would depend largely on his ability to “reconcile aggrieved stakeholders, uphold equity, and ensure a transparent and credible national convention that will strengthen the PDP ahead of future elections.”
He further noted that the party remains the hope of Nigerians for a stronger democracy and must demonstrate internal discipline and fairness in its operations.
Fayose’s message comes amid renewed calls for reforms within the PDP following recent leadership changes and political realignments across the country.
