Party releases full timetable, revealing costs and dates for presidential, governorship, National and State Assembly primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its comprehensive timetable for the 2027 general elections, fixing May 15–16, 2026, for its presidential primaries and setting the nomination form at ₦100 million.

A breakdown of the presidential fee shows ₦30 million for the expression of interest form and ₦70 million for the nomination form.

For the governorship race, the party fixed the nomination form at ₦50 million, with primaries scheduled for May 23, 2026.

For the Senate, aspirants are expected to pay ₦20 million, while primaries will hold on May 20, 2026.

For the House of Representatives, the nomination form costs ₦10 million, with primaries slated for May 18, 2026.

For the State House of Assembly, aspirants will pay ₦2 million, and primaries are scheduled for May 21, 2026.

The sale of forms will run from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while the deadline for submission of completed forms is May 4, 2026. Screening of aspirants is expected to take place between May 6 and May 8.

The APC also announced concessions for inclusion, as female aspirants and persons with disabilities are to pay only for the expression of interest form, with the nomination form waived, while youth aspirants are expected to benefit from discounted nomination fees.

The early release of the timetable signals the party’s readiness for the 2027 elections, setting the stage for competitive primaries across all levels of government.
