A heartbreaking tragedy has hit Dawo community, Mangu LGA of Plateau State, as a young Nigerian Army officer, Lt. (Dr.) Samuel Haruna, was allegedly set ablaze by his wife while asleep.
According to family sources, the shocking incident occurred after the wife reportedly found a suspicious text message on his phone, which she believed came from another woman. Despite Samuel’s denial, jealousy allegedly drove her to commit the horrific act.
The couple had tied the knot in April 2025, in what was described as a glamorous and love-filled wedding. Sadly, just months later, their story has ended in tragedy.
