The Department of State Security Services (DSS) has arrested a student of the University of Ibadan over the forthcoming #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.
Ikhuemoisa Adeoluwa Igaga, a 100-level student from the Department of Computer Science was handed over to the secret police by the security unit of the institution.
He is the son of Comrade Mike Igaga, ex-speaker, UI students union and late NANS President, Moses Oisakede’s cousin.

The Abuja DSS sent the phone call they spied to Ibadan DSS to arrest the boy. Can you imagine that in a democracy?
“The part one student was then picked up by the school’s CSO and handed over to the DSS,” a source told SaharaReporters.
“DSS is about to release the boy, but he’s now writing statement at the UI security unit. DSS told him to come back on Monday,” another source said.
SaharaReporters during the week reported how the DSS picked up youths in Kaduna and Sokoto states over the nationwide protest.
The DSS arrested and later released a youth in Sokoto State identified as Aliyu Sanusi.
Human rights activist and Convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, had disclosed the information about Sanusi’s freedom in a post on his X platform (formerly Twitter) on Thursday evening.
SaharaReporters on Monday reported how operatives of the DSS arrested Sanusi, in Sokoto State for allegedly printing and distributing #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest materials.
SaharaReporters had earlier reported that DSS also freed another Nigerian youth identified as Engineer Khalid Aminu.
Khalid was arrested on Thursday morning for allegedly mobilising for the forthcoming #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest in Kaduna State.
The news about his freedom was also disclosed by Sowore.
