Afrobeats superstar Davido declares Governor Ademola Adeleke is leading as Osun votes are counted, urging vigilance and mocking the APC.
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has claimed that his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, is leading in the 2026 Osun governorship election.
As votes continue to be counted and collated across the state, Davido took to social media to declare, “We are winning,” while urging supporters and residents to remain vigilant throughout the electoral process.
The singer also mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC), writing, “Shame APC, Osun no be Edo,” as he celebrated what he described as Adeleke’s lead.
However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had not officially declared a winner at the time of the report, as the collation of results was still ongoing.
