Abuja FCT Police Screening Schedule Released for 2026 Recruitment; Command Urges Applicants to Avoid Corruption and Follow Official Processes

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has officially released the screening dates for applicants who applied for the Nigeria Police Force General Duty and Specialist Constable recruitment. In its announcement, the command strongly warned against bribery, corruption, and involvement of third‑party agents in the screening process.

Applicants shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment exercise must attend physical and document screening on the specified dates and times communicated directly to them. The release emphasized that the exercise is free of charge and that no fees or payments should be made to individuals claiming to facilitate selection.

The FCT Police Command instructed:

  • Candidates should present their invitation slips and valid identification at the screening venue.
  • Applicants must arrive on time and bring all required documents, including academic certificates and completed forms.
  • Any candidate found attempting to bribe or engage in unethical behaviour will be disqualified and subject to sanction under Nigerian law.

The FCT Police reiterated that:

  • The recruitment process is transparent, merit‑based, and free.
  • No officer or civil servant is authorised to collect fees on behalf of the Police or the Police Service Commission.
  • Applicants should report any bribery attempt immediately to the appropriate anti‑corruption agencies or the Nigeria Police Command.

This announcement ensures that applicants comply with official procedures, protects them from fraud, and reinforces integrity in the recruitment process.

✔ Verify screening invitations on the official Nigeria Police or Police Service Commission portals.
✔ Avoid unofficial agents or third-party promises.
✔ Keep all documentation organized and up to date before attending screenings.
