Says Indigenous Communities and Residents Must Be Protected and Represented Equally
A group of youths in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has purchased the Senate nomination form of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) for former Public Complaints Commission (PCC) Commissioner, Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa, signaling strong grassroots support for his potential candidacy.
The youths, drawn from various communities across the FCT, described the move as a demonstration of their confidence in Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa’s leadership capacity, integrity, and commitment to public service. According to them, his track record as a former commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission has positioned him as a credible and capable leader who can effectively represent the interests of the people at the Senate.
Speaking during the presentation of the nomination form, members of the youth group emphasized the need for experienced, accessible, and people-oriented leadership in the FCT. They noted that Musa’s dedication to justice, fairness, and community development makes him a suitable choice to champion the aspirations of residents at the National Assembly.

In his remarks, Musa appreciated the youths for keeping to their promise. He revealed that when they first approached him, he told them he was not financially prepared for the race, but the youths assured him they would purchase the nomination form for him, a promise they have now fulfilled.

He further stated that if elected, he would ensure that every indigenous community in the FCT is protected, stressing that it is not their fault to be natives of the territory. He also pledged to protect the interests of residents who have made the FCT their home and place of business.
