From heartfelt brotherhood remarks to calls for Aduda Senate return, Karu witnesses rare political unity across PDP, APC, and emerging leadership voices

Karu was filled with warmth, laughter, and a strong sense of political camaraderie as Distinguished Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda MFR, CON, marked his 57th birthday anniversary surrounded by family members, friends, political associates, and supporters drawn from across party lines.

The celebration carried a personal and relaxed tone, with guests describing the senator not only as a political figure but as someone whose long years of service have built deep relationships across the Federal Capital Territory. Music, laughter, and heartfelt conversations filled the venue as guests took turns offering goodwill messages.

The opening remarks were delivered by Hon. Tanko Ishaku Yamawo, the FCT APC Chairman, who appreciated all dignitaries and guests for attending the occasion and described it as a moment of unity beyond political divisions. In his remarks, he noted that Senator Aduda is 57, He further described Aduda as a man with both energy and experience, expressing confidence that, by God’s grace, he would return to the Senate to continue serving the people of the FCT.

One of the most emotional highlights came from former FCT Senator, Isah Maina who described Senator Aduda as “my younger brother.” He recalled their years together in the National Assembly when Aduda served in the House of Representatives, noting that their relationship has grown beyond politics into a genuine bond of brotherhood and mutual respect. He added that Aduda’s long years in public service have matured into deep wisdom and experience, which will guide his leadership journey as he prepares to return to the senate.

The outgoing FCT area council chairmen were also in attendance, and speaking on their behalf, Hon. Danladi Chiya, APC House of Representatives candidate for Abuja South, commended Senator Aduda and joined others in celebrating his milestone birthday. He represented the collective goodwill and appreciation of the outgoing council leadership.

Similarly, the chairmen-elect were represented by Hon. Joshua Musa of Bwari Area Council, who also spoke on their behalf, expressing appreciation for the invitation and offering prayers and goodwill messages for Senator Aduda’s continued success and service to the people.

The celebration drew an impressive list of political stakeholders including the PDP National Chairman, the FCT PDP Chairman, the Women Leader, PDP and APC executives, leaders of the Rainbow Coalition, commissioner FCT PCC Commission, and the Mandate Secretary of the FCT Agricultural Secretariat. Their presence reflected the broad political network and influence surrounding the senator.

Aduda

Support groups, friends, and well-wishers also added colour to the occasion with songs, prayers, and messages of encouragement. His wife, children, and close family members were present, sharing in the joy and appreciation of guests who came to honour him.

By the end of the celebration, what stood out most was the tone of respect, unity, and shared political history across party lines. The event ended on a reflective note, with many expressing confidence in Senator Aduda’s continued relevance and leadership role in the political future of the Federal Capital Territory.
