Chairman Danjuma Shekwolo constitutes 13-member committee to coordinate scholarship matters and promote educational opportunities for students across the council
The Executive Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, has inaugurated a 13-member Scholarship Committee to oversee scholarship-related activities and coordinate educational support for students across the council.
The inauguration is part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen the education sector and ensure that scholarship opportunities are properly managed and accessible to eligible students within Kuje Area Council.
The committee is chaired by Hon. Haruna Jatau, with Nimrod Koce serving as Secretary.
Other members include Abdullahi Idris Gojara, Bitrus Bulus, Baba Danladi, Benjamin Y. Yenche, Jamila Abdulkadir, Aminatu Kaka Akaau, Abubakar Alhaji and Adamu Osanutu.
Usman Kasimu Kpetu represents the Kuje Area Council Staff Union (KACSU) on the committee, while Abubakar Tanko Kujekwa, the Supervisory Councillor for Education, is also a member.
The Senior Special Adviser on Education and Abubakar Alhaji are among those appointed to serve on the committee.
The newly inaugurated committee is expected to provide effective oversight of the council’s scholarship programme, promote transparency in the process and help ensure that deserving students benefit from available educational opportunities.
The initiative further highlights the council administration’s emphasis on education as an important tool for empowering young people and supporting the development of Kuje Area Council.
