Administration urges residents and political stakeholders to shun division, embrace peace, unity and inclusiveness for the development of Kuje Area Council.
The Kuje Area Council administration has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive governance and equal service to all residents, regardless of political affiliation, following concerns arising from recent comments attributed to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo.
In a clarification issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Musa Samson Adayilo, the administration said the remarks may have been misunderstood and appealed to residents, political stakeholders and supporters of different parties to avoid interpretations that could create unnecessary tension or division.
The statement emphasised that Kuje Area Council is a public institution established to serve the collective interests and welfare of all its residents, irrespective of their political preferences.
It noted that political differences are an essential part of democratic participation but should not undermine peaceful coexistence, development or effective governance within the Council.
According to the administration, Chairman Shekwolo remains focused on delivering meaningful development and improving the quality of life of residents across the Area Council.
The administration also reiterated its openness to constructive criticism, dialogue and meaningful contributions from individuals and groups committed to the progress of Kuje.
It therefore called on residents and stakeholders to put political differences aside, embrace one another and work together towards sustaining peace, unity and development across the Council.
“Kuje Area Council belongs to all of us,” the statement concluded.
