Chairman Shekwolo says the intervention will boost agriculture, education and environmental sanitation in Kuje.
Residents of Kuje Area Council have applauded the Executive Chairman, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, for launching a series of agricultural, educational and environmental interventions aimed at improving the welfare and living conditions of residents.
The Chairman flagged off the distribution of 10,000 bags of fertilizer, 10 waste bins, as well as 20,000 exercise books and instructional materials to farmers, residents and pupils across the 115 public primary schools in Kuje Area Council.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Shekwolo described the interventions as a demonstration of his administration’s commitment to delivering tangible benefits to the people and addressing critical needs across the Area Council.
According to him, the distribution of fertilizer across the 10 political wards is designed to support farmers, boost agricultural productivity and contribute to food security. He added that the provision of waste bins would strengthen environmental sanitation efforts and promote a cleaner and healthier Kuje.
The Chairman further stated that the educational materials would help improve teaching and learning conditions in public primary schools, providing pupils and teachers with essential resources needed for effective education.
Hon. Shekwolo also highlighted several ongoing and proposed development projects across Kuje Area Council, including road construction and grading, provision of transformers, construction and renovation of classrooms, motorised solar boreholes, electrification projects and installation of solar streetlights.
He assured residents that his administration would continue to prioritise people-oriented governance while ensuring the effective utilisation of resources for the overall development of Kuje Area Council.
The event attracted goodwill messages from the Mandate Secretary for Agriculture, FCTA; the APC State Party Chairman; the APC Candidate for Abuja South Federal Constituency; and the Gomo of Kuje.
The dignitaries commended the initiatives of the Kuje Area Council administration and expressed their support for continued development efforts aimed at improving infrastructure, education, agriculture and the general welfare of residents.
