Former Senate Minority Leader is set to be honoured for his decades of grassroots leadership, legislative excellence, and contributions to the development of the Federal Capital Territory.
Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, CON, has been celebrated by political associates, supporters, and well-wishers as he marks another year of life, with tributes highlighting his decades of dedicated public service and unwavering commitment to the development of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Widely regarded as one of the FCT’s most influential political figures, Aduda has built a distinguished political career spanning more than two decades in the National Assembly, where he consistently advocated policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of residents and promoting inclusive governance.
His political journey began at the grassroots as a councillor representing Karu Ward before he rose through the ranks to become Senate Minority Leader, earning recognition for his accessibility, legislative contributions, and strong advocacy for the interests of the FCT.
Throughout his years in public office, Senator Aduda has facilitated numerous developmental projects across Abuja’s six Area Councils, including educational initiatives, social infrastructure, and community development programmes that have positively impacted the lives of many residents.
As part of the celebrations, supporters also acknowledged his forthcoming role as Chairman of the Outstanding Politician of the Year Award ceremony scheduled to hold on August 1, 2026, at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, describing it as another reflection of the respect he commands in Nigeria’s political landscape.
