Wike approves road construction following Rainbow Coalition stakeholders’ appeal in Kuje.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the construction of the Kuje–Sabo–Yenche–Rubochi Road linking to Abaji following appeals from community stakeholders during an interactive session with members of the Rainbow Coalition in Kuje Area Council, Abuja.
Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, MFR, CON, was among the political leaders and stakeholders who attended the meeting, which provided a platform for discussions on community development, infrastructure challenges, and cooperation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

During the interactive session, community representatives and other stakeholders highlighted key concerns affecting their communities, with particular emphasis on the need for improved road infrastructure and better connectivity across the area.
Responding to the concerns raised, Wike immediately approved the proposed road construction, a development expected to address one of the major infrastructure needs identified during the engagement.
The proposed Kuje–Sabo–Yenche–Rubochi Road, linking to Abaji, is considered important to improving connectivity between communities, easing movement, and supporting socioeconomic activities across the affected areas.

The meeting underscored the importance of direct engagement between government officials, political leaders, and community representatives in identifying pressing needs and advancing practical solutions to local development challenges.
Senator Aduda’s participation further highlighted the involvement of political stakeholders within the Rainbow Coalition in discussions surrounding development priorities, community interests, and collaboration across political lines.
The Rainbow Coalition continues to emphasise dialogue and stakeholder engagement as important approaches to addressing community concerns and promoting development across the Federal Capital Territory.
The interactive session concluded with renewed attention to road infrastructure and other community needs, with the approval of the proposed road project emerging as a major highlight of the discussions.
As preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum, engagements of this nature provide opportunities for political stakeholders and community representatives to present their concerns and discuss development priorities with government authorities.
