APC Chieftain Says Decision Was Taken in Interest of Party Unity, Stability, and FCT Development

Hon. Bitrus Lawrence Garki has officially announced his withdrawal from the race for the House of Representatives seat representing the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a press statement released on Thursday, Garki said his decision followed “honest reflection, genuine consultation, and a deep commitment” to the unity and progress of the APC and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The young politician noted that the decision was not made lightly, stressing that leadership is not always about occupying political office, but sometimes about making sacrifices for the greater good.

According to him, the current political climate requires party cohesion and collective purpose above personal ambition.

Garki further declared his total alignment with the political leadership and direction of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike, CON, whom he described as a leader with a bold vision and commitment to transforming the nation’s capital.

He also announced his full support for Senator Philip Aduda and other candidates endorsed by the FCT Minister, saying the move was aimed at ensuring stronger governance, political stability, and accelerated development across the FCT.

The former aspirant reaffirmed his commitment to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through platforms such as the City Boy Movement and the Relax Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria Movement, both of which are aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration.

Garki expressed gratitude to his supporters, political associates, youth groups, women organizations, and community stakeholders who supported his aspiration throughout the campaign period.

He assured them that the withdrawal does not signal the end of his political journey but rather a repositioning towards continued service, loyalty, and contribution to the growth of the APC and Nigeria at large.
