Dangote says overwhelming investor interest caused major system disruptions shortly after the Dangote Refinery IPO opened.
Aliko Dangote has spoken about the technical challenges that occurred shortly after the launch of the Dangote Refinery Initial Public Offering (IPO), saying the system crashed as investors rushed to participate.
Dangote explained that the high volume of traffic generated immediately after the IPO commenced overwhelmed some of the digital platforms being used for the offer.
“Immediately after we started, the whole system crashed,” Dangote said, while describing the experience surrounding the IPO launch.
According to him, the disruption reflected the level of interest generated by the public offering, with large numbers of prospective investors attempting to access the system at the same time.
The Dangote Refinery IPO is designed to provide members of the public with an opportunity to become shareholders in the company and participate in its future growth.
