PDP Chairmanship Candidate in Bwari Steps Down for APC’s Joshua Ishaku Musa, Supporters Chant ‘PDAPC’

In a stunning political twist ahead of the Bwari Area Council elections, the Chairmanship Candidate of the (PDP), Hon. Julius Adamu, has officially stepped down from the race and declared his support for the (APC) candidate, Hon. Joshua Ishaku Musa.

The unexpected development has sent shockwaves across political circles in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as such cross-party endorsements are rare in local council politics. Hon. Julius announced that he was relinquishing his aspiration and called on all his supporters and PDP faithful in Bwari to throw their full weight behind Hon. Joshua Ishaku Musa in the forthcoming election.

Eyewitnesses at the declaration described an atmosphere charged with excitement, as supporters from both political camps reportedly joined voices in chanting “PDAPC,” symbolizing the new political alignment between members of the two major parties in Bwari Area Council.

The declaration was facilitated by the Minister of the FCT Barr. Wyesom Wike.

Political analysts say the move could significantly reshape the electoral dynamics in Bwari, strengthening the APC’s chances while raising fresh questions about internal party strategies within the PDP. Residents and stakeholders across the council are closely watching if this alliance will influence voter turnout and the final outcome of the election as ZLP and ADC are other forces in Bwari Area Council.
